Alpha-arbutin is a chemical substance. Alpha-arbutin is similar to arbutin and can inhibit the production and deposition of melanin and remove pigmentation and freckles. Studies have shown that alpha-arbutin can inhibit the activity of tyrosinase at a relatively low concentration, and its inhibitory effect on tyrosinase is better than that of arbutin. Alpha-arbutin can be used in cosmetics as a whitening agent.
