It is commonly used as solvent (for dissolving tetracycline, pyrethrin and DDT, as well as for oil dewaxing, etc.), inorganic salt separation agent, mineral dressing agent, binder, rubber glue, cloth paint and organic synthetic raw materials, etc. A developing solvent for PMMA in electron beam lithography.
