Hexanoyl Chloride is Colorless or light yellow liquid. Melting point -87 °C (-87.3 °C), boiling point 153 °C, relative density 0.9754 (20/4 °C), refractive index 1.4264. Flash point 50 °C. Soluble in ether, acetone, chloroform. Decomposes in contact with water and ethanol.
