Product Description

Colorless oily liquid with an aromatic odor.  Freezing point -30.6ºC, boiling point 145.2ºC, relative density 0.9051 (20/4ºC), refractive index (nD20) 1.5467, flash point (open cup) 31.11ºC, spontaneous combustion point 490ºC, viscosity (20ºC) 0.763mPa·s.  Slightly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether, methanol, acetone and carbon disulfide.  It is easy to polymerize when exposed to heat or light or air, and can cause an explosion due to rising temperature during polymerization.  Explosive limit 1.1-6.1 (volume).  Hydroquinone or tert-butylcatechol (2-20ppm) is often added to commodities as a stabilizer to delay its.Ethylbenzene as raw material, in the presence of T-315 platinum catalyst with iron trioxide (or aluminum) as the main catalyst, at 550-560ºC temperature, dehydrogenation to produce styrene and then by distillation, purified more than 99.5 fine styrene.nature
