Applications

2- (4-benzyloxyphenyl) ethanol is an organic intermediate, which can be prepared from 4-hydroxyphenylacetic acid as the reaction raw material and benzyl bromide. The intermediate benzyl ester of 4-benzyloxyphenylacetate is prepared by adding lithium tetrahydroaluminum.
It can be used to synthesize salidroside compounds. Salidroside is the main bioactive component of Sedum, and has various pharmacological effects such as anti-hypoxia, anti-fatigue, anti-liver fibrosis, anti-kidney damage, anti-tumor, and anti-radiation.
