    Sodium oxalate is an organic substance, chemical formula Na2C2O4, sodium salt of oxalate, is a reducing agent, and is often used as a bidentate ligand. It is a white crystalline powder, odorless, hygroscopic. Soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol. When burned, it breaks down into sodium carbonate.
