use
It is mainly used  in the synthesis of a class of compounds with biological activity, such as the anti-tumor drug 4-hydroxy-5-fluoropyrimidine, etc. It can also be used to synthesize cyclohexapeptide antifungal drugs, synthetic trichloropyrimidine, and other production methods.

It is obtained by condensation of triethyl orthoformate and glacial acetic acid through ammonia. Add triethyl orthoformate to glacial acetic acid and heat, pass ammonia to react for 1.5h, precipitate white crystals, and continue to pass ammonia for another half an hour. The reactants are firstly distilled at atmospheric pressure, and then the alcohol is evaporated by vacuum distillation. Cool to 25°C, wash with absolute ethanol, filter, and dry to obtain formamidine acetate.
