1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium Chloride, a room-temperature ionic liquid (RTIL), is a colorless to pale yellow hygroscopic crystalline solid or viscous liquid. It exhibits excellent solubility in polar solvents (water, ethanol) , while being immiscible with non-polar solvents. With a melting point of 87-90°C and thermal stability up to 300°C under inert conditions, EMIM Cl combines low volatility with high ionic conductivity (>10 mS/cm at 25°C). The compound complies with REACH and ISO 9001 standards.
