Sodium Lauryl Polyether Sulfate (SLES) is a high-performance anionic surfactant that can be prepared from coconut. The molecular formula is R (OCH2CH2) nOSO3Na (R is 12 alkyl), a light yellow viscous liquid that is easily soluble in water and has excellent cleaning, emulsifying, and foaming properties. It has good thickening properties and foaming ability, for example, adding 2%~5% sodium chloride can easily increase the viscosity of SLES system. Commonly used in daily chemical industries such as liquid washing, meal washing, shampoo, and bath washing, as well as in industries such as textiles, papermaking, leather, machinery, and petroleum extraction. SLES has a certain degree of irritation in cosmetics and is not suitable for long-term use on sensitive and dry skin.
