Product Description

Decanol appears as a colorless viscous liquid. Slightly soluble in water with a solubility of 2.8% (by weight) in water. Soluble in glacial acetic acid, ethanol, benzene, petroleum ether, and very easily soluble in diethyl ether.

Decyl alcohol is a raw material for manufacturing surfactants, plasticizers, synthetic fibers, defoamers, herbicides, lubricating oil additives and fragrances. It is also used as a solvent for inks and the like. It is a fragrance permitted by GB 2760-96 and is mainly used for formulating fragrances such as orange, lemon, coconut and assorted fruits.
