Octyl 4-methoxycinnamate  is a sunscreen ingredient  as UV filter. It can absorbing UV-B rays and is  known for its low potential to sensitize skin or act as a phototallergen.  In various cosmetic products,it can prevent photodegradation and protect the skin from sun damage.
