Application: It is used in the manufacture of special fine chemicals such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and fragrances, as well as in scientific research as a solvent, reaction medium and extractant. It is more frequently used as a reaction solvent for polyurethane synthetic leather and amino acid synthetic leather. The solubility of this product is similar to that of dimethylformamide. 1,4-Dioxane has the following important uses:
1.It can be used as a sulphating agent in the synthesis of many compounds;
2. Used in the extraction of pharmaceuticals and pesticides and in the dewaxing of petroleum products;
3. Used as a dispersant for dyestuffs, wood colorants and as a solvent for oil-soluble dyestuffs;
4. Used as a high purity metal surface treatment agent, etc. The product is irritating to skin, lung and mucous membrane. In case of severe poisoning, it can damage liver and kidney.
