Trans-2,3-Dibromo-2-butene-1,4-diol  is   White crystals or white powder, soluble in ethanol. Slightly soluble in dichloroethane. Toxic. Keep it dry and store it in a sealed container.

It belongs to a high-temperature initiating high-efficiency peptizer, suitable for high-temperature internal mixing, and should be added at the beginning of plasticating. The processing temperature should be above 120ºC. The dosage in NR rubber is approximately 0.1 - 0.15%, and the dosage in styrene-butadiene rubber needs to be appropriately increased.
