1. Sodium methoxide has a wide range of uses, mainly used in the production of sulfa drugs.
2. It is used as an alkaline condensation agent and catalyst in organic synthesis, and for the synthesis of spices, dyes, etc. it is the raw material of vitamin B1, a and sulfadiazine.
3. As the raw material of ups and pesticide, it is an important raw material for the synthesis of drugs such as imipramine sulfanilamide, sulfanilamide synergist, etc.
4. It is used as a catalyst for the treatment of edible fat and edible oil (especially lard) to change the fat structure and make it suitable for margarine, which must be removed in the final food.
