Applications
Ethylene sulfate can be used as an additive for lithium-ion battery electrolytes. Its function is to inhibit the decline of the initial capacity of the battery, increase the initial discharge capacity, reduce the battery expansion after high-temperature storage, improve the charge-discharge performance and cycle times of the battery. It is used as a hydroxyethylating reagent for organic synthesis to synthesize pharmaceutical intermediates. It can also be used as a raw material for synthesizing certain heterocyclic compounds for gelatin hardening, anti-hypertensive drugs, and new double surfactants.
