The methylene disulfonate compound can be used as a pharmaceutical preparation for treating leukemia and others in animals.  The battery added with MMDS has excellent high - temperature cycle performance. It is applicable to power batteries, especially power batteries with lithium manganate as the cathode material. MMDS can prevent the Mn melted out at high temperatures from adsorbing on the surface of the negative electrode, inhibit the increase of impedance, effectively improve the cycle - period characteristics, and greatly increase its cycle life.
