Triphenyl-(2-pyridinylmethyl)-phosphoniumbromide  is White to cream Crystalline Powder,melting Point240-242  °C(lit.)   It is readily soluble in water, methanol, and ethanol, slightly soluble in acetone, and insoluble in non-polar solvents such as diethyl ether and benzene.
