Chromium Nickel Alloy Die Steel 3Cr2Mo 1.2311 P20 Plastic Mould Steel for large and medium-sized precision molds

Mould steel is a type of steel used to manufacture molds such as cold stamping dies, hot forging dies, and die-casting dies. Mold is the main processing tool for manufacturing parts in industrial sectors such as mechanical manufacturing, radio instruments, motors, and electrical appliances. The quality of molds directly affects the quality of pressure processing technology, product accuracy and production costs. In addition to reasonable structural design and processing accuracy, the quality and service life of molds are mainly influenced by mold materials and heat treatment.

P20 tool steel differs from area to area in the different countries. Europeans generally use the spec DIN EN ISO 4957 standard materials (1.2311 and 1.2312), while in Japan steel industry standard, PX5 is the new standard P20. And the Americas Countries, Grade steel P20 is the most and wide used steel grade material. In China, 3Cr2Mo is the P20 steel grade equivalent, which is in the standard GB/T 1299 tool steel specification.

Plastic Mould Steel

P20   Plastic Mould Steel Featrure:
1. Uniform hardness, excellent polishing performance and photolithography performance, and excellent processing performance
2. Vacuum degassing and refining of pure steel, suitable for polishing or etching plastic molds.
3. The pre hard state supply can be directly used for mold processing without reheat treatment, shortening the construction period.
4. After forging and rolling processing, the structure is dense, 100% ultrasonic inspection, and there are no pores or pinhole defects.
