Cyanuric chloride  is a white crystalline powder or granular substance with a pungent odor, having a melting point of approximately 145°C, a boiling point of about 190°C, and a relative density of around 1.8.

It is easily sublimable, slightly soluble in water, and soluble in organic solvents such as benzene and ether. It is relatively stable at room temperature but is flammable when exposed to open flames or high heat; thermal decomposition releases toxic cyanide and chloride gases. It is highly irritating and toxic, requiring proper protective measures during handling.
