Le dianhydride pyromellitique est une poudre de cristal blanche ou jaunâtre. Il est soluble dans le diméthylsulfoxyde, le diméthylformamide, l'acétone et d'autres solvants organiques, insolubles dans l'éther diéthylique, le trichlorométhane et le benzène.

Application
Le produit est principalement utilisé comme matière première pour la production de monomère polyimide, agent de durcissement pour la résine époxy et agent de réticulation pour la résine polyester, colorant bleu de phtalocyanine et prolongateur de chaîne PET pour l'emballage alimentaire.

Remarques
Le produit est irritant pour les yeux, les voies respiratoires et la peau. Porter des gants en caoutchouc, des lunettes, un masque et d'autres articles de protection.
Tenir à l'écart du feu et de l'environnement humide.
