Product Description

2-Butoxy Ethanol is one of the important derivatives of ethylene oxide (EO). It is a green and environmentally friendly solvent, a colorless liquid with a molecular weight of 118.17, a distillation range of 163-174 ºC, and is not volatile. Its relative density is 0.9019, boiling point is 171.1ºC, and flash point is 0.5ºC. It is toxic. It is miscible with water and hydrocarbon solvents of flaxseed oil, and has extremely strong dissolving power for synthetic rubber. It is suitable for use as a solvent for both natural rubber and synthetic rubber, and is also used as a solvent for rosin, shellac, shell rosin, indene resin, ethyl fiber and nitrocellulose.
