Styrene is a colorless, transparent liquid that is flammable at room temperature and widely used in the chemical industry. The electrons of the vinyl group are conjugated to the benzene ring. Styrene is insoluble in water but soluble in most organic solvents, such as ethanol and ether. It is an important monomer in synthetic resins, ion exchange resins, and synthetic rubber. Styrene was first discovered in 1839 by German chemist Eduard Simon, who isolated it by distillation from natural resin.
Application

1.Mainly used for making polyester fiber, polyester resin, dehumidifying agents, plasticizers, surfactants, synthetic fibers,

2.Can be used as a dye / ink solvent, the preparation of the engine antifreeze, gas dehydration.
3.For the production of synthetic resin, PET, or polyester fiber grade PET, bottle grade PET film used to produce mineral water
bottles.
