Application:

N-Hydroxyethylimodiacetic acid is a useful organic synthetic compound.

Production Method:

Dissolve 60g of chloroacetic acid in 200ml of water, neutralize with 25g of potassium carbonate, add 15g of ethanolamine and 40g of potassium carbonate, heat to reflux for 3 hours, cool with cold Chemicalbook and acidify to pH=2 with concentrated hydrochloric acid. After cooling, hydroxyethyl imine diacetic acid crystals precipitate. After recrystallization with water, 22g of finished product was obtained with a yield of 50%.
