2-Phenoxyethanol is commonly used as a preservative in cosmetic and personal care products.
EPH is a p enetrants and fungicides in detergents . Also use in hair color and nail polish color. It is often used in skincare products such as lotions, creams and serums, as well as makeup products like mascaras and eyeliners.
P erfumes and fragrances
EPH can be used as a fixative in perfumes and fragrances. It has mild, floral scent that is often used in perfumes and colognes.
Solvent
2-Phenoxyethanol is the solvent for acrylic resin, cellulose acetate, ethyl cellulose, epoxy resin, phenoxy resin.
2-Phenoxyethanol becomes an ideal solvent for methyl hydroxybenzoate.
Paints & inks
And it is used as solvent and improving agent for paints, printing ink,ballpoint ink, filtrating and bactericide in the detergents. Also for film-forming aids for water-based coatings.
