Application

C16-18 alcohol is obtained from natural oil through esterification, hydrogenation and fractionation.

Fatty alcohol is used in cosmetics, plastics, leather, textile, synthetic detergent and other industries. It is suitable for all kinds of cosmetics as a substrate, especially suitable for creams and emulsions. In medicine, it can be directly used for W/O emulsifier paste, ointment base, etc., hair care and skin care. It is also used in industry as a raw material for textile auxiliaries. C16-18 alcohol is a kind of oil chemical raw material, mainly composed of carbon hexadecyl alcohol and carbon octadecyl alcohol.

At present, there are three main ratios of 16-18 alcohols on the market :C16:C18=7:3, C16:C18=3:7 and C16:C18=5:5. C16:C18=3:7 is the most widely used.
