      Propylene Glycol Methyl Ether , commonly abbreviated as   PGME , is a colorless, transparent liquid with a mild ether-like odor. Its chemical formula is C4H10O2, and its molecular weight is 90.12.
 
PGME exhibits excellent solubility: it is miscible with water, alcohols (such as ethanol and isopropanol), ethers, ketones (such as acetone), esters, and most hydrocarbon solvents. It has a relatively low volatility compared to traditional solvents like acetone, with a boiling point of approximately 120-122°C and a flash point of around 31°C (closed cup), making it safer to handle under normal industrial operating conditions.
