Diethylene glycol butyl ether is a colorless liquid and is soluble in water and oils. It is prepared by heating ethylene oxide and butyl ethylene glycol ether together under pressure.

5. As stabilizer of latex paint, evaporation suppressant of aircraft paint, surface improving agent for baking enamel of high temperature, etc.
6. As intermediate in plasticizer, diluent for hydraulic brake fluid
7. It is also used to produce piperonylic butoxy compounds

Storage :  
Store in cool, dry, ventilated storage, keep away from fire, heat source.   S eparately from oxidants and acids, avoid mixing storage.
