Product Description

Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) is a water-soluble polymer with excellent hydrophilicity. The addition of PVP can greatly improve the hydrophilicity of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), polyethersulfone (PES), polysulfone (PS), etc
When PVP is used as a pore-forming agent, it will accumulate on the surface of the membrane. When the surface of the membrane comes into contact with water, PVP will dissolve in water, forming channels for nonsolvent entry into the interior of the membrane. These points form the growth points of finger-shaped pores, which then grow towards the membrane matrix to form finger-shaped pores. The final polymer film is formed in a concentrated phase, and the polymer in a dilute phase is eluted (PVP).
