Product Description

The FT160 Ladle slide gate is a key device used in the steel - making process to control the flow rate and direction of molten steel in the ladle. It can accurately adjust the flow rate of molten steel from the ladle to the tundish, making the inflow and outflow of molten steel balanced, thus facilitating the control of the continuous casting operation.
 

Working Principle

The sliding mechanism is used to make the upper and lower slide plates slide, thereby driving the opening and closing of the molten steel flow holes to adjust the size of the molten steel flow. During operation, the upper slide plate is usually fixed, and the lower slide plate slides along with the mechanism. Through the relative position change of the molten steel flow holes between the two, the interception and throttling of the molten steel are realized.

Product Structure

  • Drive Device : It provides power for the sliding of the slide plates, enabling the slide plates to move accurately according to the set requirements, thereby accurately controlling the flow rate of molten steel.
 
  • Mechanical Part : It includes the base bracket, sliding trolley, spring assembly, etc. The sliding trolley can slide back and forth in the bracket. The moving interface establishes a constant and uniform interface pressure through the spring assembly to ensure the close fit between the slide plates and prevent the leakage of molten steel.
 
  • Refractory Part : It mainly consists of the upper and lower slide plates, lower nozzle, etc. These refractories need to have excellent properties such as high temperature resistance, erosion resistance, and thermal shock resistance to withstand the high temperature and scouring of molten steel and ensure the service life and stability of the slide gate.
