is a refractory component at a steel ladle's bottom or side, controlling and directing molten steel flow during casting. Made of heat- and corrosion-resistant materials, it ensures stable, clean steel flow while withstanding extreme conditions.

I. Steel Metallurgy Industry
1.Ladles: They have a refractory sliding plate at the bottom. After molten steel is tapped into the ladle from the converter, the plate closes to stop leakage. At the refining or casting station, it opens mechanically or hydraulically to let molten steel flow into equipment like a refining furnace or tundish at a set rate, reducing secondary oxidation and enhancing steel quality as it can open and close multiple times.
2.Tundishes: As a transition for molten steel from ladle to mold, the tundish's refractory sliding plate is vital. It adjusts the flow rate into the mold for continuous casting stability. In case of mold strand issues like breakout risk or slab quality problems, the relevant plate can be quickly closed to stop molten steel flow and ensure production line safety.
II. Non-ferrous Metal Metallurgy Industry
1.Copper Smelting: The refractory sliding plate controls copper liquid flow between smelting and refining/casting equipment. Given copper liquid's properties, the plate requires high corrosion resistance and sealing. Special materials help resist erosion and leakage, ensuring process continuity and product quality.
2.Aluminum Electrolysis: Although not used directly in the electrolytic cell, it's used after aluminum liquid purification. The plate controls the flow into casting machine molds, adapting to the low viscosity of aluminum liquid for smooth operation and precise control, improving production efficiency.
III. Casting Industry
1.Cast Iron Casting: The refractory sliding plate at the bottom of the casting ladle controls molten iron pouring. When ready, the operator opens it for even flow to avoid defects and can quickly close it during the batch for mold changes or suspension, adding flexibility.
2.Cast Steel Casting: Due to strict temperature and flow control needs, the refractory sliding plate is essential. It works in a high-temperature and high-pressure environment to ensure proper molten steel injection and can quickly switch tasks for multi-variety, small-batch production.
